Good morning,
We are pleased to invite you to a trip to Jaworniki and the Wsetyńskie Mountains, organized by SKPT Gdańsk as part of the Carpathian Tri-Relay.
As part of the trip, we will learn about Slovak and Czech culture, climb the highest peak of Javorníky, ride the Slovak railway, and even visit Lake Balaton ;).
The trip will take place on August 8-11, 2026 (Saturday - Tuesday) and includes 3 nights in guesthouses or shelters. The event starts in Žilina in Slovakia and ends in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the Czech Republic. There is no need to take a tent, sleeping bag or sleeping pad for the trip. Meals during the trip will be provided by the participants, but it will be possible to buy provisions and water every day. Due to the nationwide nature of the event, transport to the venue is the responsibility of the participants. The approximate costs of the trip are: PLN 320 per person, payable in the form of an advance payment to the account by the end of July 2026, they include accommodation and travel during the event, but do not include travel to and after the trip, meals for additional attractions and the individual needs of participants.
Frame plan of the trip:
Day 1:
- 8:00 meeting at the station in Žilina, time for breakfast and organizational matters.
- 9:17 drive to Krásno nad Kysucou where we will start Saturday's trek
- 10:00 - 19:00 route, along the way we will admire panoramas from lookout towers and climb the peaks: Vojtov Vrch, Chotárny kopec, Marťácky vrch and Tábor.
- 19:30 return by train for overnight stay in Žilina, time for shopping.
Day 2:
- 7:30, meeting before overnight stay and going to the station
- 8:30, transfer to Vysoká nad Kysucou via Čadce, from where we will start our Sunday walk.
- 10:00 - 18:00 departure for trekking, during which we will climb the main ridge of Javorník and, drawing on the local culture and admiring the views and nature, we will spend the night in a shelter at the foot of Veľký Javorník.
- 18:30 dinner at the shelter or in nearby restaurants according to the needs of the participants and end of the day.
Day 3
- 9:30 - 17:30, meeting before the overnight stay and going out on the trail (breakfast and packing on your own before the meeting), on this day we will conquer Veľky Javorník, the highest peak of the Javornik range, and continuing along the ridge we will cross the border with the Czech Republic to reach the overnight stay in Nový Hrozenkov.
- 18:00 dinner on your own
- 19:00 departure to Lake Balaton where the day will end
Day 4
- 8:00 - 15:00 meeting before overnight stay and going out on the trail (breakfast and packing on your own before meeting), on the last day of the trip we will cross the Wsetian Mountains, reaching Tanečnice, from which we will descend gently to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, admiring the Czech landscapes along the way.
- 3:00 p.m. official end of the trip and farewell
- 3:30 p.m. for those willing and not in a hurry for transport, crossing and then visiting the open-air museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm
- 6:00 p.m. farewell to the optional group

The Carpathian Triple Relay is an international project that connects tourist organizations from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine in a joint journey through the Carpathians. The event will include over 20 tourist routes led by guides from various tourist organizations and different nationalities. The event will end with the final "Trójbiesiady" in the Przysłop shelter near Barania Górą, which will take place on September 5-6, 2026.
