About event
The workshop ๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ง ๐๐ข๐๐ฌ led by dancer and lecturer Filip Staลko is intended primarily for participants aged 50 and over who want to move, develop their movement skills, perceive their body and discover dance in a new way. However, everyone is welcome, regardless of age or previous experience โ the workshop is open to anyone who wants to move, learn and explore movement and themselves. It is based on the principle of connecting body and mind, working with attention, natural organization of movement, continuity and economy of movement. The emphasis is on the perception of one's own body, coordination, balance, mobility, work with the breath, orientation in space and the joy of movement.
The workshop will last three hours and will be adapted to older participants - the pace will be calmer, the emphasis will be on conscious and healthy movement, not on performance. Each participant can regulate the intensity and range of movement according to their capabilities.
The participants of the workshop will focus on:
- fine tuning of the body and mind
- work with the senses and perception of the body
- coordination, stability and balance
- movement in space
- guided improvisation and musicality
- connection of feeling, thought and movement
- short verbal reflection
The workshop will take place in the intimate space of Studio Maiselovka in a small group (maximum 10 participants), which allows individual access and a pleasant, focused atmosphere. It follows on from the activities of Studio Maiselovka and the group ๐ฐ20๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ฃ๐๐, which has long been dedicated to working with different age groups of dancers and supports active movement across generations.
