About event
Do you have colorful dreams? Such that you think even Salvador Dalí wouldn't paint them and David Lynch wouldn't film them? And would you ever be tempted to try it?
Come to our workshops where we connect therapeutic work with dreams and their artistic rendering!
At each meeting we go through the dream of one of the participants using the dasein-analytic method of dream interpretation. Inspired by a dream, we then immerse ourselves in our own creativity and express it artistically. During our meetings, we will also present the work of specific artists who used dreaming in their practice.
What can you expect?
At the Dreaming and Theater workshop, we will present the ideas of the French artist Antonin Artaud. We will take a closer look at some theses from his book Theater and its Doppelgänger, where he works with the dream as a tool for acting and theatrical creation.
Subsequently, we will select one of the participants' dreams, which we will pass through the dasein-analytical method of dream interpretation. By gradually revealing the dream scenery and dream situations, we will get to the experience of the dreamer in the dream so that he can understand the meaning of his dream.
In the final part of the seminar, we will try together to dramatize one of the dreams using Artaud's ideas in order to better penetrate the meaning of the dream, which will no longer be only the personal property of the dreamer, but a shared artistic experience.
Who is the seminar intended for?
For everyone interested in their inner life, dreams, theater. No previous experience or knowledge is required to participate in the seminar. We will work in a non-evaluative and exploratory environment. The goal is not to create a perfect or finished work, but rather to experiment and explore the possibilities of self-expression.
Who will accompany you to the meeting?
You will be accompanied to the meeting by Jan Puc and Matyáš Starý. They work as psychotherapists at the Therapeutic Harbor and are passionate about working with dreams. Together they conduct seminars and dream interpretation courses. More information on the website:
