A comedy about the search for love in marriage. Would we marry our partner after twenty years together? Is a marriage certificate necessary for marriage? The stereotypical married life turns upside down.
Theatrical play "Marriage Certificate" is about an ordinary Jewish family that left the Kibbutz sometime in the second half of the 20th century. The man works and is proud of the fact that he earns enough so that his wife does not have to work. That's right. They have a daughter for marriage. She has a suitor, a mama's boy. The whole life of Robert, now an adult, is controlled by his mother, from the contents of his pockets to the wedding, everything must be one hundred percent in order. There is a problem with the marriage certificate of the bride's parents, which has been lost. Many funny situations arise between old spouses, long-standing wishes and dreams come to the surface, which are confronted with reality. E. Kishon untangles the story with masterful wit and masterfully twists it again. The viewer will be entertained and surprised by the twists and turns of fate in the then so mundane and stereotypical family life.
