SOCHY A MESTO • LETO V GALÉRII 3

The Central Slovakian Gallery invites you to the third part of four planned summer creative mornings for children aged 8 to 13. This block will be dedicated to sculptures and works in public space and the exhibition I was walking around the city and it was standing on the street. Together we will learn the story of two fountains, create a model of a monumental sculpture for public space and a joint mosaic with a children's motif.

The story of two fountains • Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
A creative walk around the city center. We will try to revive the abandoned fountain by the sculptor Mikuláš Palk on Dolná ulica, at least for a while. Then we will move to Národná street and create designs for a new fountain, the shape of which has changed several times over 100 years.

Hands – feet • Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Activities inspired by sculpture Victims warn by Jozef Jankovič. We will create a model of a monumental sculpture for a public space and try plaster casting. We will end the activity by taking pictures of different variations assembled from individual cast parts.

Mosaic • Thursday, August 13, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We will play a creative team of children who will be commissioned to create a mosaic for the children's corner at the Railway Station in Banská Bystrica. We will examine the proposal for mosaic glass windows from 1957, perhaps we will find inspiration in it.
