Get ready to party!
The folk group Balbuzar composes and arranges pieces inspired by traditional European music to dance to and listen to. Balbuzar goes through all the nuances, from a soft and flowery mazurka to a wild jigue, and builds bridges between traditional jazz and Latin influences to take his audience on a breathtaking sensory journey!
- Duo Baftig< br/>What started as a musical experiment in the summer of 2022 has now officially grown into a balfolk musician duo.
Duo Baftig plays very danceable tunes on acoustic guitar and violin. Manon and Robin share a passion for balfolk dance and folk music and decided to join forces from here. The duo plays a surprising mix of Irish/Scandinavian tunes, but also their own explosive compositions. From melancholic to powerful, the following applies to everything: as long as it is Baftig!
LOCATION
Mezrab is very fond of Balfolk and invites us to come and dance every month. On other days you can mainly go to the Mezrab for storytelling. The café serves as a source of inspiration for many theaters, centers, museums and festivals to also program storytelling. Mezrab regularly programs storytelling evenings several times a week. On the other evenings, storytelling is combined with other art disciplines (dance, visual arts, poetry, etc.) and a world music program.
There is room for about 100 dancers.
