Social Hike: Scenical Sandberg

15 million years ago, the iconic Sandberg near Bratislava formed the coastline of the late tertiary sea. Today, shark teeth, turtle shells and other relics can still be found scattered in its dunes. Appreciating this prehistoric significance (and far-reaching view into the Austrian Marchfeld) we slowly follow our trail up the slopes. Standing tall at 514m, the Devínska Kobyla peak generously rewards us with a jaw-dropping panorama over three (some say even four) countries.
