About event
On November 30th, at 3:30 pm, at the Alcântara Library - José Dias Coelho, Cláudia Monteiro will read the children's book “Help, Gregor suddenly is an insect!” by Lawrence David, inspired by the famous story "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. Entry is free.
Help, Gregor has suddenly turned into a cockroach!
One morning, Gregor wakes up and is a cockroach! When he tells his family, neither his mother nor father react with concern. “You’ve always been our mean, crawling pet,” is his only reaction. Is he just imagining things? Only when he hides in the ceiling do his parents realize something is wrong. Oops, our son is a cockroach! A comical and warm story about parents who don't look closely and children who no one listens to.
An event as part of the Goethe-Institut's Being Kafka project, dedicated to the centenary of Franz Kafka's death, in 2024.
