About event
Solarpunk The neighborhood workshop
Madlab Dutch Design Week
Solarpunk is a utopian science-fiction genre. An eco-social world in which high and low-tech designs come together. We taste this art movement and place ourselves in our own Solarpunk future. From this utopian experience we make work that we share with others again. We design our future.
workshop of four hours
1st hour we do a tour of the MAD SolarPunk exhibition, read SolarPunk stories and we discuss the principles of solarpunk.
. We explore our own solarpunk future through various thought exercises. We use episodic future as a structure to explore our environment and possibilities. Meditatively and creative.
After that we have two hours to work on our own future exploration. Painting, drawing, writing, collages or multimedia. Everything is possible and material is present. Work made can possibly be included in the exhibition.
