Somebody's Child | Simplon

Somebody's Child made fiery indie pop/rock. His songs deal with topics such as mental health, love and growing up in the city of Dublin. The artist is seen as one of Ireland's greatest musical promises, and has already made waves in his own country and abroad. Somebody's Child is the pseudonym of singer-songwriter Cian Godfrey. He started playing the piano at the age of five, when he was visiting family in Paris. He became interested in telling stories through music, and when he returned to Dublin he started writing his own music. In 2019 he broke through with his single 'Jungle'. He received support from the Irish media and was allowed to open for bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs. In 2023, his successful debut album was released, which he wrote with producer Mikko Gordon (known for his work with The Smile and Arcade Fire). Live, Godfrey is known as an energetic performer. He will undoubtedly bring that bucket of energy to his show in Simplon!
