"I see music, I feel it, I touch it."
- Bohuslav Martinů

The first of the convergence evenings dedicated to Bohuslav Martinů's music (1890 - 1959) will belong to his Sonates and Variations for Violonchlo. In the first sonate, dedicated to the French violonist Pierr Fournier, there is a riot of Europe on the eve of the war. The second violonian Sonata from 1941 was established after the composer's emigration to the US. The selection of creation for cello will be complemented by variations on Rossini's theme, dedicated to another of the large violonists of the 20th century, Gregor Fifth. Jozef Lupták and Czech cello, Tomáš Jamník, whose recording with the work of this composer for Supraphon, will be presented at the convergences in Bohuslav Martinů's works.
