About event
Directed by Eva Victor, USA, 2025, en + cz subs
In her painfully honest and tender debut, screenwriter, director and representative of the main protagonist Eva Victor brings a distinctly unique perspective. She portrays the character of Agnes, a doctoral student who becomes a university professor, with great sensitivity and emotional depth. Both before and after the trauma. Sorry, Baby combines dry sarcastic humor with a cinematic language capturing isolation and confusion. Thanks to the non-linear narrative and the five-year time arc, she is able to capture the complexity, contradictions, small victories and failures on Agnes' path to recovery.
Barbora Burajová has been leading the Coordination and Methodology Center for the Prevention of Violence against Women since its establishment in 2015. In her scientific work, she focuses on women experiencing violence and victims of domestic violence. She is the guarantor of the National Hotline for women experiencing violence and a certified investigator of sexual violence, abuse and exploitation in a humanitarian context
After studying human rights and democratization in Venice, Jakub Popík worked with youth, from where he found his way to the Slovak National Center for Human Rights, where he worked as a PR and communications specialist for many years. In addition to moderating debates, hanging flags, recording podcasts, planning communication campaigns and popularizing human rights topics, she is currently also involved in education at universities and high schools, for which she co-creates the Human Rights Olympiad.
Barbora Nemčeková, dramaturgist of Kina inak A4, is the moderator.
