About event
Come and welcome the new season to Tusculo with us. A day awaits us in the garden on a blanket, at a common table, between open workshops, in a community garden, with tasting, listening and discovering a place that is waking up again after winter.
The program will include intergenerational workshops even for the little ones, a common garden feast by AB & Collective and a live concert by Dorkas Jandová & Debora Ruth at the end of the evening. The table will move between the installation and the shared garden feast. It can also include what you bring yourself. Bring a cushion, blanket or pillow and make yourself comfortable in the park.
All activities are free. Only the ceramic workshop, which is subject to the participation fee, is charged.
Program:
14:00 open door and a banquet - we feast, we love each other, we connect

✿ → AB & collective
Adéla Zapletalová & Barbora Gábová
creates as an artistic duo under the group AB. This connection begins and ends with dialogue. For both, the latter is an essential link on the journey between edible installations, culinary experiences and work with photography or objects. In their installations, they place great emphasis on detail, seasonality, locality, malleability, the given space, the given moment. He creates creative experiences where food becomes the main means of communication.
✿ → Lenka Kubelová
Tastes of places, Fermented drinks from local sources
✿ → Ondřej Doskočil
During the day it will be possible to independently create houses for insects, small shelters, bunkers or temporary dams near the stream that flows through Tusculum. The activity will offer space for testing your own ideas, building with your hands, training patience and discovering the possibilities of materials found in the garden. Ondřej Doskočil will be there as a guide and support for anyone who wants to give advice or be inspired.
✿ → Veronika Špundová
In the workshop with Veronika Špundová, we will develop the textile frame of the future projection screen together. Through embroidery, flower printing, knitting, binding and layering of materials, we will record the shapes, structures and impressions of the surrounding garden in it. The emerging canvas will be stretched between the trees in the coming months and become part of the outdoor projection program.
☘︎ → Tuscula Herbarium: an open activity dedicated to observing plants in and around the garden. You can create your own herbarium, collect impressions, shapes and names of plants or just notice what is growing around us.
✿ → Burnoutspace Ceramics Workshop by StonyTellers: Make your own Olla
We will make an Olla ceramic watering can, a traditional unglazed container that is dug into the soil and helps gently water plants.
✿ → Concert: Dorkas Jandová & Debora Ruth Live
Dorkas Jandová & Debora Ruth create experimental post-folk soundscapes based on live ambient, loops, combining various instruments and self-made elder whistles. Their music exists mainly in a live performance without a fixed recording, each time a little different and often directly for a specific place. Open form, slow layering and space for focused listening.
Photography by Adriana Vančová, documentation of the installation by Erika Velická and Maria Štindlová in the Tusculum area
