The OUKEJ Theater Association cordially invites you to the preview of a new production for children.
A story about a little owl who decided not to be an ordinary night bird, but a daytime owl, will be played by the actresses of the OUKEJ Theater Association in cooperation with students Atelier Theater and Education for the Deaf at the JAMU Theater Faculty.
The fairy tale is performed in Czech and Czech sign language so that everyone can really understand. In the fairy tale, not only do they speak both languages, that is, they speak and sign, but they also sing in both languages.
In addition to the owl, you will also see a lot of other forest animals, as well as a marigold.
Script, direction, dramaturgy and the scenography of this production for the OUKEJ Theater Society was prepared by Lada Orešnik, a deaf artist, director, lecturer living in Slovenia and at the same time a graduate of the aforementioned Atelieru theater and education for the Deaf.
The book model for this production is the book Sovica Oka by the Slovenian writer Svetlana Makarovič.
You can find out whether Očko the owl will get her wish at the pre-premiere on Friday the 29th. 11. 2024 from 10 a.m. in the BARKA theater in Brno.
The preview is suitable for groups kindergartens and 1st to 2nd grades of primary schools.
