About event
💦 Join conservationists, waters, fishermen, water management and local people who try to protect the Hron River together. After 5 years, they will wander side by side from the Hron source to his mouth to the Danube in order to draw attention to the need to renew the river wherever possible. 🐟

The event will start on Saturday 23. 8. 2025 at 10.00. At the source of the river Hron, where a group of cyclists will travel about 70 km to from the camp in Germany. From there, from Sunday 24. 8. 2025 we will flood on boats: we will go around 25-30 km on the river every day and we will reach the mouth of Hron to the Danube after 300 km on Sunday 31. 8. 2025 afternoon. The event will include many accompanying events - discussions, projections, joint meetings with local people, representatives of local governments. This time we will stop at places where the river has already been protected or even improve its condition. For example, we will make a stop in the already announced municipal protected area of Beňadic Alúvium in Hronský Beňadik and prepared under the castle Šášov, in places where the once -cut -off arms of the river are being prepared, removing non -functional barriers or planting trees. How much will it cost?
Volunteers traveling on bicycles and members do not pay anything for participation.
