In the run-up to the 300th birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach, GDR television produced an opulent series about Bach's life in 1983/84. Ulrich Thein in the title character, Franziska Troegner as Anna Magdalena and many other important actors took part in the four-part series directed by Lothar Bellag, which became the most complex and expensive television production in GDR history. 40 years after the premiere, we are presenting all four episodes at the Kulturhaus Spandau as a “warm up” for SPAM. The film specialist and Bach fan Knut Elstermann and the actress Franziska Troegner are expected to be interviewed by Bernhard Schrammek between the episodes.

If you are interested in just one part of the film series (€8), please contact the Kulturhaus Spandau 333 4022.
