We are preparing a special one-off trip to Vršovice!
This time it will be focused on the architecture of the second half of the 20th century and especially on the increasingly popular brutalism! Large volumes, concrete, metal or cubicles are typical for this period. However, it can also be gentle works of art in public spaces, such as sculptures or mosaics common at the time between residential buildings.
On the route KD Eden - Vlasta housing estate - Chemapol (watch out - it will be demolished soon!) Matouš Pudil, a lover of quirky brutalist architecture, author of the PRGbrut Instagram profile, will guide us along the main street and neglected corners.
And what will our association do with the money that this walk do we earn They will, of course, go to a good cause: to repair our chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, which already looks pretty good from the outside, but it still needs a lot of finishing touches, including a cross on the roof or a new grill.
So we'll be looking forward to it! :-)
