SPECIAL SCREENING: Spielfilm "FORMEN MODERNER ERSCHÖPFUNG" mit Filmgespräch

Special screening of the documentary feature film "Forms of Modern Exhaustion" by Sascha Hilpert.

In the presence and subsequent conversation with the director.

The story of two people going through their crisis meets reality in the last sanatorium of its kind. People have been coming to this place hoping for healing for over a hundred years. The same goes for Nina and Henri, both in midlife, burnt out and from different backgrounds. Their paths cross between the dining room, reclining treatment and therapy, in a time of struggle for their own peace of mind. The house is snowing and everything becomes slow and quiet. The ghosts and stories from the long corridors become companions to their days. While the two of them try to vent and forget their loneliness, a historian digs into the house archives for documents from the spa's early days. She researches the sanatorium as a hub of modern history of exhaustion and, for her dissertation, draws a line from neurasthenia to the “inner restlessness” of the present. The house becomes the setting for an archeology of exhaustion.
