About event
The concept of classical music was already dead at the beginning of the 19th century, not to mention the music of today, which is neither classical nor (outwardly) serious.
So how do composers approach such an outdated body as the string quartet?
And how do they today defend the need to write new works for it?
It is these questions that are at the center of the concert spectrum quartett: off.score, which will present the current work of young Slovak composers. The dramaturgy focuses on works that go beyond traditional notation and the sound limits of instruments - compositions that experiment with extended techniques, electronic space and the physical gesture of the performer.
Richard Grimm · Marek Fóra · Michael Blažek · Marek Krajňák
spectrum quartett - an ensemble known for its focus on contemporary music and new work.
