Spev pre rieku (H2OMANAUS – Netradičný hudobný zážitok)

Experience the evening when the river becomes a stage and an actor. On the surface of the Váh, a clay statue will grow into which traditional Finnish healing singing will be heard. It is not a concert in a classic sense - rather a concentrated common experience in which singing does not aim to viewers but to the water. We are curious to see if the river can be treated with a voice.

ℹ️ About the event

Singing for the river is a live performance by the Finnish artist Pii Lindman, who has long been linking art with science and environmental topics. In collaboration with scientists and students from several countries, she examined mud from the Váh River to find out what specific frequencies and sound waves can stimulate microorganisms and contribute to water purification.

The basis of the evening is a musical performance built on a traditional Finnish treatment technique called Manaus - singing and reciting spells to support healing. At the same time, the performance is participatory: visitors are invited to a quiet presence, perception and - if they want - to become part of this experiment in their own voice.
