The “Steffl” is without a doubt the symbol of the federal capital. The two towers, the world-famous zigzag pattern of the roof and the much-loved Pummerin are familiar to most Austrians. Less so, however, are the exciting architectural details and gripping stories surrounding St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Free special tour as part of tourism stars
The cathedral priest Toni Faber personally guides you through the roof structure of St. Stephan, which rests on a 600-ton steel structure and offers a fascinating spatial experience. From the bellworks in the south tower via the Heidenturm and the Pummerin, you go high above the roofs of Vienna.
The tour is crowned by the walk through the gutter, where you can look up at the steep roof and the city. They are timeless, unforgettable views, without any earthly heaviness. Exciting information about the history of St. Stephen's Cathedral and some St. Stephen's Cathedral secrets are included!
