Spinus Q

The band Spinus Q was founded by pianist Jakub Čížek together with singer Hanka Váchová. He gradually approached his classmates from J. Ježek, to create an exceptional intergenerational combination of musicians who like jazz and other genres. Their work is based on original songs with English and Czech lyrics, based primarily on singing melodies. These are complemented by suitable arrangements and peculiar improvisation. The repertoire also consists of unconditionally modified jazz standards and its own instrumental compositions. In addition to modern rhythms, listeners can also enjoy traditional boss Nova or Swing - Spinus Q simply sails on the waves of modern mainstream jazz.
