About event
Are you interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and related internet security?
Hearing about artificial intelligence all around but don't know much about it?
Then the second evening of the cycle of Federal Thursdays, organized in conjunction with SAPMU and MUNIA, is designed for you:
K. Malinka will present the basic cybersecurity challenges arising from both generative and non-generative AI. At the same time, it will present the basic principles of AI, the use of AI as an element of cyber defense, and last but not least, it will focus on AI as a possible victim of cyber attacks. It will specifically focus on the development and consequences of deepfakes technology. The goal is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of how deepfakes technology works, what opportunities it brings for creative and innovative use, but also what threats and ethical challenges they pose to society, industry and academia. It will demonstrate the different types of deepfakes, explore their creation methods, exploits, detection and protection methods, and their impact on IT security.
Join us for an engaging session that combines theory with interactive demonstrations to give you a better understanding of this critical technology and its security challenges.
Guest: Mgr. Kamil Malinka, Ph.D., graduated from FI MU in 2005. He currently works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Technologies of BUT in Brno and is the head of the Security@FIT research group, which primarily deals with computer security. Among his current research interests are the security impacts of AI and applicable security.
Association of Alumni and Friends of Masaryk University (SAPMU) and Masaryk Student Union, z. with. (MUNIE) join forces and contacts to offer you a series of engaging themed evenings.
With the support of the Department of External Relations and Marketing of MU and the Platform of MU Associations, they will invite interesting personalities, especially from among SAPMU members, alumni and friends of MU. In a short cycle of 5 early evening debates during the entire academic year, you will be able to listen to and then also interview experts from practice, whom you would otherwise probably not have access to. The events are open to students and graduates of all faculties, we recommend booking your place in time via the registration form!
See the button next to (or below): "Tickets" - the events are of course free.
