🕯️ The memory of Juraj and Matthew in Ponqu + Poetry Open MIC
On October 12, October 12, will be three years from a terrorist act, who has deprived the life of two young people, Juraj and Matúš. This terrible act was shaken by Slovak society, but unfortunately, it did not lead to permanent improvements for LGBTI+ people.
On the contrary, the hateful and dehaminating rhetoric continued, politicians and politicians did not stop in shameful attacks on us and our lives. We have experienced humiliation during the parliamentary elections, we have been recovering from the vote on the change of the Constitution. We also need to find a way to start treating the wounds that we have been caught over the years. We need to start looking for hope to continue and endure. Hope for a better future - a future that will never repeat what happened 3 years ago.
Poetry helps to express and process even the most difficult feelings, so come to share with the poems that help you that express your feelings and that can resonate with others. Poems can be in English and Slovak, it can be their own work or performance of other authorship. The evening will be accompanied by Robo Furiel.
