About event
On December 6, 2025, 75 years will pass since the death of one of the most important personalities of Slovakia, Vavro Šrobár. This politician was one of the five men on October 28 (and the only Slovak) who signed the Call of the People of Czechoslovakia. From the position of minister with full powers for the administration of Slovakia, he was most responsible for the annexation of the territory of Slovakia and for the proper functioning of the Czechoslovak state administration in Slovakia in the critical years 1918-1919.
Even though during the first republic his political career receded into the background, as one of the two presidents of the Slovak National Council, he greatly contributed to the anti-Nazi resistance and the co-organization of the Slovak National uprising.
The Czechoslovak legionary community – Jednota Slovensko will therefore honor this important man with a memorial service at the place of his final resting place at the Ondrejsko cemetery in Bratislava at 10:30 a.m.
You are cordially invited.
