Over the course of seven evenings, and one whole day on camera, we will explore various Improvisational techniques that can be used to create depth of character, and also allow the performer to find their way out of a creative rut.
Often, actors find themselves repeating the scene either within a learned set path, thereby lacking spontaneity or find themselves unable to create the emotion as if it's new and things get stale.
The participants will be introduced to the rudiments of improvisation, how to use devising techniques to create scenes or work within set scenes, and working on scene study itself.
During the Saturday workshop, we will work with the talented Director Elena Omura on camera, to apply the techniques.

November 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th,
December 2nd, (7th or 8th tbd) 9th, 16th
