The word trauma has many shades. The documentary film Confession opens the topic of sexual harassment in the church, which the director experienced firsthand. She looks back at the world before the trauma and is looking for answers to the questions of whether she will be able to get out of it after some time, and whether she will find the courage to tell her parents about it. Nothing can distance a person from their loved ones more than an untold secret. The film won a silver student Oscar and the Sun in the Network 2025 award for Best Short Film.

Seablindness
yr. Tereza Smetanová
Slovakia, 2025, 30 min., original version, MP12
trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cxZGB5a5RQ

90% of everything we consume comes to us by sea. The film explores the liminal space of ports, where land meets sea and where capital circulates. As we travel along these shifting borders, we pick up the radio calls of stranded sailors. This documentary film-poem explores ecological anxiety - not about those who feel it, but for them. The film was nominated for the Best Short Documentary Award at the MFDF Jihlava 2025 and won the main prize in the short film competition at the Febiofest 2026 IFF.
