About Social Presencing Theater and the rehearsal group

Broaden your horizons. Let curiosity, compassion, and courage determine your next move. Make room for the surprise of authentic action. SPT is the ‘social technology’ of collective consciousness and systemic change. It helps individuals, teams, and organizations work more sustainably, creatively, and inclusively. It is an experiential method that goes straight to the core. In doing so, it facilitates profound change.

The method, which was developed by the Presencing Institute under the leadership of Arawana Hayashi and Otto Scharmer, makes use of simple body postures that make the current dynamics in a situation visible (“theatre”) making in space. This provides insight into levers for change. Thus, SPT becomes a practical resource to draw from when faced with questions that are difficult to resolve at the meeting table. It can be applied to strategic, leadership, and development questions. In the practice group, we use SPT to generate insights into own /societal questions.

The meetings are non-profit, but a contribution is requested for the costs incurred. If the amount is too high for you, please contact us and we will find a solution.

Focus December 12: 4D mapping

Next practice group we will investigate a multistakeholder case using a 4Dmap. This process reveals the current reality of a social system, such as a school system, health care system, or government. The process provides insight into where the opportunities lie for system development or the next step in solving a question. One of the participants contributes a case, but every participant is part of the embodied inquiry.

Want to contribute a case? Mail to [email protected]

With what project or initiative in your life or work are you trying to contribute to a new reality? Interesting if you want more insight into how to move forward in a system where you are an active player!

As a case presenter, you contribute to the cost of a preliminary interview and other preparation in the week leading up to the practice group. You do that through a fee of 50 -150 euros depending on your carrying capacity.

Sound interesting? Then let me know in a mail- as soon as possible, but preferably December 6- your case, namely:

  • What system do you want to illustrate
  • What are the key players
  • What is your intention in this system

As er multiple cases are offered I choose based on suitability and (content) relevance to the whole group.

About Social Presencing Theater in this group

Expand your view. Let curiosity, compassion and courage determine your next step. Allow for the surprise of authentic action. SPT is the 'social technology' of collective awareness and systemic change. It helps individuals, team sand organizations work more sustainably, creatively and inclusively. It is an experiential method that goes directly to the core. In doing so, it facilitates profound change.

Developed by the Presencing Institute under the leadership of Arawana Hayashi and Otto Scharmer, the method uses simple body postures that make visible (“theater”) in space the current dynamics in a situation. This provides insight into levers for change. SPT is a source to set in motion issues that cannot be adequately resolved at the conference table. It can be applied to strategic, leadership and development issues. In this group we use SPT to generate insight into personal/societal questions.

The meetings are non-profit, but there is a charge for expenses incurred. If the fee is too high for you, get in touch and we'll find a solution.

Focus December 12: 4D-mapping

Next practice group we will examine a multistakeholder case using a 4Dmap. This process visualizes the current reality of a social system, such as a school system, health care system or government. The process gives insight where the opportunities are for the development of the system or the next step in solving an issue. One of the participants contributes a case study, but each participant is part of the embodied inquiry.

Would you like to bring a case? Email to [email protected]

As a case giver you contribute to the costs of the preparation and a preliminary discussion in the week prior to the practice group. You do so via an expense allowance of 50 -150 Euros depending on your ability to contribute.

Sounds interesting? Then let me know in an email-as soon as possible -but no later than Dec 6th- your case , namely:

  • Which system do you want to bring into the picture
  • What the main players are
  • What your intention is in this system

If multiple cases are offered I will choose based on suitability and (content) relevance to the whole group.
