We hereby cordially invite you to the opening of Magdalena and Julia's joint photographic and artistic work.
Framed black and white photographs will be available for viewing and purchase at the opening, sometimes with excerpts from some of our puns or coloring books. <3
The photographs were created on the basis of melancholic feelings during nostalgic recollections of childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Some excerpts of the sentences you will see are from now, some from the times of our seemingly different and yet similar puberty.
Julie: This exhibition was created mainly because Majda became interested in photography and chose me photography course. I am therefore honored to be part of this exhibition, which is such an end to our joint venture. My photos are taken with an analog camera, which also reminds me a bit of my childhood. Since I don't need to process my pain like before, some of my photos are... I would say a little "FUNNY UNDERGROUND" and some are just a grateful look back with lightness in my soul. So I wish everyone who comes to find themselves in our work and look back on their past with a smile on their face.
Majda: I am very grateful for Julia and the fact that our paths crossed, she helped me to show the world through different eyes through art and creativity, to discover how much photography fulfills and entertains me. It is a great therapy for me, joy and my overall outlook on life. How I feel right now, or how I felt in the past. These photos are a glimpse into my soul, it's personal and I don't want to hide it anymore, but to open up to you all, to the world, and maybe even help or inspire someone. What we have succeeded here is mainly a reflection of this world. A reflection of what can be experienced. One should never forget the hope that always remains, even when everything around is shit (literally). I hope you will be full of all emotions when you see our creations, that you might find yourself in it and I hope you will like it. Thank you.
