About event
Listening politicians
In the run -up to the municipal elections on March 18, Casa Casla is organizing in collaboration with the successful series. Around the central question "What do you think ..." is zoomed in on specific groups in Almere: newcomers, the elderly, families and young people. In the city conversations, Almeerders get the floor about their city. Politicians are present, but especially to listen to what is being said.
Discussion leaders
Also in this new series of city conversations, these groups are explicitly not only talked about, but also with and the groups themselves. Under the leadership of Marcel Beijer and Robert Mienstra, journalist and former journalist Van Almere this week, Almeerders discuss what they find important in the city and what they think should get more attention - before and after the election of the new city council. The theme of the evening is always introduced by a (experiential) expert and especially inspired resident of Almere.
For the political parties it is undoubtedly getting used to that they are mainly present in this series of conversations to listen, but the power of the city conversations is simply that the word is that the word is that the word is the word that the word is the word that the word is the word that the word is the word that the word is the word that the word is the word for the inhabitants is.
Newcomers
The first city conversation takes place on Tuesday 30 September and zooms in on newcomers. What does expats, labor migrants and asylum seekers bring to Almere? What drives them, what do they want to contribute to the city? And what new insights do they bring? Old and new Almeerders will discuss this with each other.
