Start New Block Blues Dance Classes (With Free Trial Class!)

Finally! On September 16th we kick off our new block of Blues Dance Classes! The first one (on the 16th) is still a free try-out class to give everyone a chance to try the dance before signing up.
19:15 - 20:15 BEGINNERS CLASS
Our Beginners Blues Classes give you a solid foundation to enjoy dancing with confidence. You’ll:
- Learn the fundamentals of Blues dancing and its unique aesthetics.
- Explore the differences between Jukin’ and Ballroom styles.
- Build connection with both the music and your dance partner.
You can follow these classes for a year or more — but they’ll always feel fresh, with new material in every block. And most importantly, you’ll have lots of fun!
20:15 - 21:00 COMMUNITY PRACTICE SESSIONS
This block we are trying out something new! Every Tuesday that we are teaching at De Nieuwe Anita, our community members organize a donation-based practice session. Every week a special topic chosen by our talented dancers and you can choose to join every session separately, or just come to the social afterwards.
Suggested donation: €5,- to support the venue and dance school. A QR-code will be present by which you can make a donation.
The community practice sessions are for those who are a bit more experienced dancers. You should have your basic footwork and groove in dancing. But it can be helpful for beginners as well to practice their basics. Bear in mind that in these practice sessions there are no instructions just someone selecting something to practice together.
21:00-23:00 SOCIAL DANCE
Directly after our community practice there will be time to just dance your butts off at our (almost) weekly Blues Social Dance: Backroom Blues!
