About event
Come to the State Opera to commemorate two significant life anniversaries of mezzo-soprano Dagmar Pecková. In 2026, he will celebrate his 65th birthday, and at the same time 45 years of activity on world stages.
On this exceptional occasion, you can look forward to a special concert called PECKA!. However, Dagmar Pecková will not present herself in the opera repertoire, but together with the pianist Šárka Knížetová will offer a cross-section of the work of the German composer Kurt Weill. In the case of Dagmar Pecková, she will not take a step into the unknown, because she already celebrated success with a cabaret show in Prague's Lucerna. The dramaturgy of the concert at the State Opera follows Weill's artistic journey through the world's capitals — Berlin, Paris and New York.
Dagmar Pecková performed on various world opera stages during her rich career. In such an extraordinary event, however, she symbolically returns to Prague, to the stage of the State Opera, where she first appeared in 1984 as Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin.
