About event
Hard times have come for men - especially for those who are young, handsome, looking for a job and named Michal.
The contemporary comedy by the German dramatist Maja Zade shows the world as it is, only reversed in a mirror. Women are in power and men are the object of desire and discrimination, at work or at home.
The first Michal is subjected to violent attacks by the boss, the second to sexual harassment by the head of the drug store, and the third is a victim of the artistic director's desires in the theater. Typical comic situations depict the difficult worlds of three different Michals, which eliminate the word "man" and women have the decisive vote. The Upside Down World exposes the unequal mechanisms of power in our contemporary society.
