● “Advertising is just a scented corpse,” a famous advertising guru once said.
● “With marketing in architecture, run to shit, because we don't sell chewing gum," said one well-known Czech architect.
● So why bother with it at all?
In fields such as architecture or building design, there is a whole range of prejudices against marketing, promotion and generally oneself -presentation. "Making a PR is something like pulling yourself up. Or better yet, be weird in your community.”
Radek Váňa wrote a successful book about it, PR and marketing in architecture, in which he tries to disprove all these myths and prejudices. So far, over 2,500 readers have bought the book, and Radek knows from the feedback that a few of them have read it.
Whether you were among them or not, come together with the author of the book PR and Marketing in Architecture to see why PR and self-presentation are so important. And even in such a concrete field as construction.
Radek will bring a lot of wisdom and joy. He will try to put a bug in your head. And explain why PR and presentation of one's own work are so important.

Radek Váňa graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. That is why he is not an architect, but a doctor of philosophy. He ran several architectural and development magazines, and when the work in the media ceased to entertain and support him, he threw himself into the world of PR and marketing.
Fifteen years ago, he founded the agency Idealab, which is behind a number of successful projects: the magazine ARCHIZOOM, the book publishing house ARCHIZOOM BOOKS, but also the specialist magazine Facility Management Journal or the architecture and design festival Rohan Design District.
With his team, he worked and is working for dozens of Czech architectural offices, development companies and other Czech and international companies. He records podcasts, writes articles, trains and also writes books about architecture.
Even after all these years, he likes to meet people with whom he talks about what he enjoys. You can find it at www.idealab.cz or www.archizoom.cz.
