About event
Finally: the final reading and drawing show on the subject of death!
ALEX SOLMAN & GEREON KLUG
With all our favorite dead people from the last ten years!
Lemmy, David Bowie, Vivienne Westwood, Karl Lagerfeld, Ozzy Osbourne, Jane Birkin, Amy Winehouse and Prince: They are all included in the large compendium STAYING ALIVE, which is currently available from DuMont published Bela B says: "This wonderful gallery has to do without me. Do it brilliantly! Damn good, this book!"
Why? Because there hasn't been anything like it before: Death has rarely been treated in a more inspiring way. Uniquely drawn by Hamburg stroke genius Alex Solman, in-house illustrator of the Golden Pudel Club with an incredibly versatile style. Humorously pointed and poetically commented by Gereon Klug - the only author that Harry Rowohlt translated into English (and not the other way around!).
In the reading show you will definitely (sic!) get to know these people who have achieved such great things that they have burned themselves into our cultural memory. A must for all survivors!
“I have never felt so alive as after reading these 205 obituaries.”— Elias Hauck (the one from Hauck & Bauer)
“Death is not the end. After that comes Alex Solman.”— Sarah Lorenz
