About event
Come and compete with your peers in the High School Technical Olympiad - STO. The Olympiad is part of a scientific conference, young - budding scientists. The fifth year of this event will take place on March 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the University of Konstantin Filozof in Nitra at the Department of Technology and Information Technology.
The competition will be held in three categories:
Electrical engineering (electrical engineering, electronics, programming, cybernetics...)
Services (hairdressing, cosmetics, tourism, economy, food industry...)
Mechanical engineering (mechanical engineering, mechanics, technology, CNC, ...)
Students can apply Submit by March 12, 2026 online at: https://lnk.sk/bhp49
High School Technical Olympiad will take place on March 17, 2026 from 9:00 a.m.
Any high school student can participate in the STO High School Technical Olympiad.
At At the conference, we would like to welcome educators who are trainers of competitive works or who have a positive attitude towards technical education.
Educators can apply online until March 12, 2026 at: https://lnk.sk/fny68
(Please fill in the application even if you are only coming to STO 2026 as a pedagogical supervisor. Thank you.)
The output of the Olympiad-conference will be the published proceedings. abstracts of submitted works with ISBN in English.
competition:
Each participant or group of participants of the High School Technical Olympiad who will present their work/project will present their competitive work/project using standard presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, PDF, or similar digital formats. The presentation will last a maximum of 15 minutes. We recommend adding short video demonstrations and photos to the presentation. The presentation of the competition work/project can be supplemented with a live practical demonstration.
The order of performances of the competition works/projects and the program of the High School Technical Olympiad will be sent to the registered participants by email.
The jury can reassign the registered work/project to another section.
The works/projects presented in each section will be included in the competition.
The level and quality of the individual works/projects will be judged by an expert jury.
The best competition works/projects in sections A, B and C will receive valuable prizes and awards.
The jury's decision is final.
The results of the competition will be published online.
The organizer reserves the right to change the instructions.
