Presentation of the October issue of Plav magazine on Kafka's inspirations in Latin American literature. We will focus on Kafka only marginally, as we will be primarily interested in contemporary Spanish-language literature from America. Translator Anežka Charvátová will talk about it with the author of the concept, researcher and writer Laura Martínez Abarca.
Jana Pokojová and Veronika Štefanová will read from their translations for Plav (Claudia Hernández, Ricardo Piglia, César Vallejo, Silvina Ocampo).
Alžběta Zemanová is the author of the illustration.
The evening will take place in the auditorium of the Cervantes Institute in Spanish and Czech, thanks to the significant support of the Cervantes Institute, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the State Cultural Fund of the Czech Republic.
