Music, words and a special atmosphere
The CNK garden will welcome an extraordinary evening that goes beyond the framework of a classical concert.
Milan Kňažko – a prominent figure of Slovak culture, leader of November 1989, holder of the prestigious Czech Thalia prize – will also present himself as a singer with a distinctive, slightly "Cohen-like" expression.
Since 2019, he has been collaborating with composer and bassist Marian Zim in the Story project. Their new album Takzvaná duša received enthusiastic reviews in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including the title Album of the week on musicserver.cz.
The repertoire includes original compositions such as Standing Applause and So-called Soul, as well as chansons by Jacques Brel, Serge Lamu and other musical delicacies. The compositions in three languages are complemented by an interesting spoken word that creates a unique dramatic framework.
The evening will be completed by:
Marian Zima – music direction, bass guitar
Pavel Morochovič – piano
Ondrej Juraši – trumpet
The project has already played prestigious events such as Trutnoff, Valašský Špalíček, the Freedom Festival or Michal Prokop's concert in Prague and he also performed in a one-hour concert on Slovak television.
