About event
🎻 STORYTELLING: GIĽORA
✨ Disconnect for a while from the outside world, mobile phones and social networks. Step into the living room where the story is told. In the space where people sit together, someone takes up an instrument, another begins to sing and in the meantime stories flow. 🕯️ Exactly as it used to be in Roma families long ago. In the days when people sat together in the evening and shared what life gave or took away.
🎶 At Khamor, this beautiful tradition will be revived by members of our Roma writers' club Paramisara and musicians from the Giľora music project together with violinist Vojtěch Lavička.
💧 The atmosphere of the evening will be enhanced by halgata - slow, drawn-out songs that sometimes bring tears to your eyes.
🤝 Together, we will bring back the moments when music, storytelling and being together belonged to each other quite naturally. And if you want, you can also join in the narration and add your own story.
🔥 Experience for yourself the ancient Romani tradition of "vakeriben" - storytelling.
