We invite you to the first BiograFF PRO of this semester! 🎥
This time, in collaboration with @socka, we have prepared for you a screening of the film Sociology as a martial art, which tells about what it means to be a sociologist and to do sociology.
The main character, guide and hero of the film is an important French sociologist Pierre Bourdieau (1930-2002). However, this is not just a portrait of a giant of French and world sociology. Pierre Carles follows Bourdie in various environments and activities, such as the street, the radio, a lecture hall, or an autograph session, during interviews with journalists, meetings with other scientists, citizens, students and collaborators. It tries to show what a prominent sociologist's working day looks like and how sociological "thinking in action" takes place.
At the same time, you can look forward to a thematic lecture by associate professor Marek Skovajsa from the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Economics of the UK with a subsequent discussion, so don't forget to come!< br/>We look forward to seeing you! 🧡
