Celebrate Mozart's anniversary with us at an unforgettable concert full of Strauss and Mozart classics!

Strauss & Mozart Concert - The Mozart Anniversary

As part of the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra's “Mozart & Strauss Concerts” concert series, a special focus will be placed on Wolfgang Amadé Mozart on June 17, 2026.

But in 2026 we will not only celebrate Mozart's 270th birthday, but also the 245th anniversary of his “Vienna Freedom”.
In June In 1781, Mozart made a courageous break with his Salzburg employer to live in Vienna as one of the first free composers in history. Without this step, we would probably never have received his great Viennese operas such as The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni or The Magic Flute in the form we know them today.

Under the direction of Daniel Auner, the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra presents not only a special selection of works from Mozart's time in Vienna, but also popular pieces by the Strauss family, as well as Emmerich Kalman and Franz Lehar.
