How to mediate artistic work outside the studio? This course will focus on the visibility of artists and bridge the communication gap between the artist, curator, institution and the public. wider community. Cooperation across institutions - horizontal cooperation.
Practice and independent curatorial activities for public and private institutions. The seminar examines the ways in which Chiara Valci Mazzar - as a practitioner, curator and exhibition of exhibitions - has cooperated and continues to cooperate on the development of exhibitions, performances, festivals, publications and events across various public and private institutions in Europe and East Asia. Furthermore, it will be outlined how networking and establishing contacts can be a key gesture and practice, how to link different institutions to cooperation and possibly develop projects through innovative forms of joint design and development. It will examine various communication strategies needed to successfully hand over artistic processes, research and exhibition projects to a diverse audience, including artists, institutions, curators and the public. The lecture also emphasizes the importance of adapting the way of communication to specific goals and addressees so that artistic work is effectively communicated and resonated long after the exhibition or event.
