About event
We cordially invite you to the town of Vrútky and to Martinská hole for the 61st meeting of the readers of the Krásy Slovenska magazine. The event will be held in the jubilee year - the 105th anniversary of the creation of the oldest Slovak magazine - Beauty of Slovakia.
Three full days of tourist experiences and a cultural program are planned. We recommend coming to Vrútok on Friday, where there will be a program in the framework of International Children's Day already in the morning. The meeting of readers begins on Friday 29 May in the early evening with a program and discussion in the Synagogue in Vrútki. In case of bad weather, the Friday program will take place in the Cinema on May 1 in Vrútki.
On Saturday, May 30, the program continues with an ascent to Veľká lúka and a cultural program at Martinské holia. Sunday 5/31 will be oriented towards individual tourism in the Martinské hóli environment.
Preliminary program
Friday 5/29/2026
The program starts at 3:00 p.m. in front of the cultural hall of the Synagogue in Vrútki, where refreshment stands will be prepared. From 15.00 to 18.00 there is free entry to the Museum of the City of Vrútka and the Memorial Room of Hana Zelinová. The event will include a presentation of the region of the Žilina self-governing region, a discussion with an interesting guest and the creators of the magazine.

The ascent to Martinské hole will take place from several directions – from Vrútok via Minčol, from the Martin via ferrata or from part of Stráne with the possibility of a subsequent ascent to Veľká luka. Registration of participants will take place in the morning at Martinské holy. At 1:00 p.m. will begin the ceremonial opening of the event associated with the presentation of the new book Koruna Turca and a cultural program. The event will include the sale of memorabilia, book publications and a stand with the possibility of refreshments.

Individual hiking in the area of Martinské holi or Kľačianská Magura and you can visit the Slovak Village Museum in Jahodnícky hájy or other museums in Martin and the surrounding area.
