About event
One Monday a month with knitting at #KinoIntimes. The December trick with the cinema debut of Celine Song.
Strick im Kino #6: PAST LIVES. Written & directed by Celine Song. USA/South Korea 2023. 106 min. With Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, John Magaro.
24 years ago, Nora (Greta Lee) moved away from Korea with her parents at the age of twelve, leaving her childhood friend Hae Sung (Teo Yoo) behind. Twelve years later, the two found each other again via the Internet. But there was never anything more than daily messages and hour-long video calls. She didn't want to leave her new home in New York, where she was just taking her first steps as a playwright. Because of his mechanical engineering studies, he was drawn to China for a semester abroad and not to the USA. But now Hae Sung is coming to New York for a week, where Nora has been happily married to Arthur (John Magaro) for seven years.
