About event
We invite you to a discussion and presentation of the book Studne mútne by Petr Getting, which opens up challenging but important topics of our modern history 📚.
The publication maps the artistic collaboration of Slovak literati with the regime in the years 1939-1945 and provides an insight into the personalities we know today as important names of Slovak culture. In his work, the author brings to light lesser-known facts, period documents and moral dilemmas connected with the functioning of the cultural elite in the period of totality 🕯️.
The talk will offer a space for discussion about the relationship between art and power, about the responsibility of intellectuals and about topics that still raise questions and the need for critical reflection 💭.
📍 Education department, Slovenská 18
Entrance to the event is free for holders of a reader's card.
One-time admission for the public is charged at €2/person.
We look forward to meeting you in the library.
