Sturgill Simpson in Paradiso

Sturgill Simpson is an American country singer, songwriter and actor from Kentucky. Simpson has released eight solo albums since 2013, of which 'High Top Mountain' and 'Metamodern Sounds in Country Music' were early breakthroughs. His third album, 'A Sailor's Guide to Earth' won a Grammy for Best Country album in 2017. Simpson's music style is often compared to Outlaw Country artists such as Waylon Jennings, but he also experiments with rock, psychedelica and bluegass. In 2024, Simpson introduced the Alter Ego Johnny Blue Skies for his album 'Passage du Desir'. In addition to music, Simpson is also active in the film world, with roles in films such as 'The Dead Don't Die' and 'Killers of the Flower Moon'.
