About event
💅 We invite you to a special screening of the film Substance with a live recording of the Hlas Heroine podcast. We will discuss the ideal of beauty and the desire for eternal youth with publicist and lawyer Šárka Homfray, model and founder of the Pink Bubble Foundation Martina Šmuková and film columnist Tereza Domínová. We'll discuss why it pays to keep half of humanity feeling that aging is a bad thing, and maybe even get to the bottom of what is the grace with which we should properly do it. The discussion will be moderated by the editor of Heroine magazine Ilona Kleníková.
🎥 SUBSTANCE
Who has never dreamed of a better version of themselves? Aging TV star Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore) is given the chance to try a miracle substance that can make her look younger, more beautiful and more perfect. It has one catch, it has to share time. One week for her, one week for her new better self, Sue (Margaret Qualley). Every seven days. Perfect balance. Easy, right? If you follow everything, what could go wrong? Director Coralie Fargeat's film is a sharp, sharp and shocking satire that wowed the Cannes Film Festival and took home the Best Screenplay Award.
