Debussy's only string quartet released ten years earlier. There are many similarities between the two quartets, but also contrasts. Although the then Parisians have passed the parties in a live debate about both composers, listeners will have been pleased to listen and appreciate both these excellent quartets. Piano quintet and major Antonín Dvořák. The premiere of this quintet was heard near the Lapidarium Gallery, at one of the concerts of the Umělná beseda in Prague's Rudolfinum in 1888.
