Event by: Tereza Kodíčková, Maysara Volf, Lucie Klosová
Location: Jemný svět, Chopinova 1529, Praha 2
About event
FLUIDITY AND INTERNAL SPACE IN CONTACT IMPROVISATION
People are often attracted to contact improvisation by the idea that they can fly like birds. In this workshop we will focus on flying, although perhaps a little differently.
But above all, we will awaken the qualities in the body that are needed to make flying easy and diverse.
We will look for the quality of fluidity in the body, so that our matter can flow like waves in the ocean and flow down and up again instead of hard impacts.
We will also spread our bodies in space so that we use the support of all limbs. The support of four (up to six 😊) limbs makes your movement much more varied, weight transfer is much easier, we are safer and easier for our partner.
The workshop is intended for everyone. It will be up to you whether you stick to the ground or soar into the clouds.
Where: Jemný svět, Chopinova 10, Prague Vinohrady
When: Sunday 24 May, 10:00–17:30
Price: 1400–2000 CZK (depending on your options)
If the price is an obstacle for you, write to us and we will find a solution.

For me, dance is a meeting. Knowledge. A way to understand who I am. It leads me to love the body and the wisdom it carries. I enjoy immersing myself in the context, watching the movement inside, creating and communicating without words.
I studied dance pedagogy at the AMU, danced in independent projects, taught at the dance conservatory, the ZUŠ and public lessons. I conduct my classes so that you can appreciate the intelligence of your own body, learn to feel it, respect its arrangement and develop its natural abilities.

Tereza Kodíčková
Contact improvisation has been with me for a few decades. She also led me to my current profession – Rolfing. Through touch, movement and attention, I teach people to exist and move in their bodies with minimal effort and maximum ease.
It fascinates me that through CI I can explore almost everything I am interested in – anatomy and biomechanics, somatics, quality of presence, communication, meditative states of consciousness, ritual and the performative aspect of coexistence. And at the same time it is sometimes the most shot game.
