Very atypical format. It is a series of ink thumbnails - stamps. Ivana, with humor, is ironized by his own, the habit of publishing postage stamps with the faces of the president, thereby uncritically shifted to the level of icons regardless of their real acts and merit. The artist chose several situations, respectively. images that have become "iconic" internet sensations. Among them are those that can be perceived positively
(student Simon Omaník at the moment when he refused to lend his hand to President Pellegrini), but mostly evoke the opposite emotion - Government Plenipotentiary Peter Kotlár Blouse of Genetics, Kuffa and Záborská ("Slovak Gothic") Fico in a wet t -shirt on the waist in the water or his ecstatic fan from a viral video that screams that he "loves Fico". This is not the first time Šáteková responds to current social events, and the current, critical "division" enters into the intimately known, even kitsch form. Similarly, she did it in the series Hajl, Down Hajl, where the figurative embroidery, which decorats many traditional Slovak households, linked to the topics of contemporary Facebook conspiracy and xenophobia. Šáteková thus creates situations where an audience without fearful approach (symbolically and literally) to her works as something safe, even trivial; On the other hand, in a closer look, they offer a subversive, surprising, sometimes even dark content. The strength of the artist is in the way he can benefit from the internet culture of "Reelsiek" and "memorials" that today, whether we like it or not, shape public discourse. These ephemeral media, which are sentenced to forgetting, pushes into material, artistic form and thus helps to create the future "memory of the nation". Because the situations he depicts, we should remember (in good and bad). In the artistic and understandable abbreviation Šáteková materializes phenomena and emotions that would otherwise remain diluted and incomprehensible. And last but not least, absurd humor also helps us to handle reality that would otherwise be "Too Much
to Handle". by his engaged attitude. She has studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, but she is also devoted to various other media such as drawing, embroidery, installation. In his work, he has long reflected topics such as mizogensia, alcoholism, xenophobia and other "inconspiracy", which largely characterize our
country and public discourse. As an artist and a citizen, she responds to current events, which has recently led her to activism on the art initiative will not be silent. He lives and creates in Bratislava. In 2012 -
